Back to winning ways

⚽️ MATCH REPORT | PENISTONE CHURCH WOMEN’S U13 1-0 KIVETON ⚽️

A battling performance from the girls today saw Penistone Church return to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kiveton.

The visitors played some good football and proved to be a stern test throughout, with very little separating the two sides. Penistone had to work hard for their chances, but the girls showed plenty of determination and resilience to keep Kiveton at bay.

The decisive moment came in the second half when Angel produced a fantastic solo run and finish to break the deadlock. A superb individual effort from our Girl of the Game. 👏⚽️

From there, the girls dug deep to protect their lead and secure a valuable clean sheet — a particularly pleasing aspect of the performance following last week's defeat.

There wasn't much between the two teams today, and with the sides meeting again next week, we're expecting another entertaining and closely fought contest.

After that, attention turns to the County Cup, where we take on Bramley. 🏆

Well done, girls! Back to winning ways. 💪⚽️
