U15 Blacks run the League leaders close!
What a performance the girls put in at the weekend! Penistone came into the game in a run of in different form and had a long period off from Christmas due to a very wet January/February. The girls started the game well and stuck to their gameplan with Layla stepping in between the sticks. Its great to be back on the pitch with our coach Derek exceptionally positive from the off as Wolves had actually won a game of football! We were playing today at Charnock Ridgeway and both sides knew we were in for a close game. In an even first half Bea worked hard to close down a clearance and nip in to finish really well to the great delight of the supporting parents. Derek did absolutely everything he could to try and get the game on at the weekend but a huge amount of rain put paid to the U15 Blacks playing. Derek is currently drawing up emergency plans so that the rain can't beat us in future fixtures.
