All of our senior teams are on their travels this weekend, so no live senior football at the Parker Roofing Memorial Ground for once, however not too far to travel as they all take on local opposition. The First team travel to Golcar United for a local derby on Saturday with a 3pm Kick Off on the outskirts of Huddersfield in the NCEL Premier Division. A decent point gained in yesterday’s game with a fairly stripped-back squad & limited substitutions. Penistone were defensively sound throughout - disrupting Socrates’ play and offering them very little when it came to goal scoring opportunities. A fantastic performance from the team today, playing with a bare eleven but showing grit and determination to the very end. Millmoor took the lead in the first half, but Penistone kept battling. With their countless chances and domination, they barely let Millmoor out of their own half in the final 45 minutes.
