James Young - PCFC Legend

On Saturday 4th April, the first teams final fixture of the season at the Parker Roofing Memorial Ground, v the Oldest Club in the World Sheffield FC, will be the stage for James Young (Jammy's) final game for Church as he retires from playing.

It goes without saying that we want this to be a special occasion for Jammy and his family, as we celebrate his 348th and final NCEL appearance for Church. This puts him in the top 2 of all time appearances in the NCEL era for the club, and there were plenty more before that in the County Senior League days.

An absolute club legend, who has played such a huge part in the journey of this club and the progress it has made - so please come down and join what is going to be a fantastic day and evening at Penistone Church FC, and have a drink with Jammy and the team after the game.

We are also really pleased to say that this is not good bye, as with all of that wealth of experience, Jammy will become first team coach and support Brett, Jubby and the lads in 2026/27.
