Match Week 3 - Boys U9 Whites

This week the boys were up against Barnsley Sports Academy Away. Having contested many close encounters against the opposition in previous seasons, this match followed in a similar fashion.

The boys continued to improve their level of performance with plenty of positives to take away. We created and missed many chances and a couple of mistakes at the back ultimately cost us the result we were striving for.

Two great goals, one from Carter and one from Kellan gave us something to cheer about during another frustrating encounter.

Well done to our captain No.6 who was chosen as our trainer of the week after showing some smart skill and ability during the training drills.

Also, a big congratulations go out to our joint 'Man of the Matches', it was such a difficult choice, that we chose two!

Our No. 10 for a solid defensive first half looking composed and confident playing out from the back, followed by a good goalkeeping display in the second half.

And our No.5 for yet another battling effort, and yet another great display in his strong start to the season.

Well done to the boys - keep working hard, keep improving and we'll get that result that we're striving for.
