Church continued their unbeaten start to 2026 in an entertaining game at Bottesford Town.
Church took a 1-0 lead into the break following a good burst and finish by Lennon O'Grady, topping off some great patterns of play in the first period. Reece High doubled the lead on the 54th minute with a typical piece of skill, breaking through the Bottesford defensive ranks to finish tidily.
Bottesford made some changes from the bench and a quick burst of attacking play led to a penalty being awarded after a rash challenge by Lennon O'Grady, This was duly tucked away and the hosts added another 2 goals in quick succession to take a 3-2 lead in the 76th minute.
Church came back down the other end and equalised through Leon Hurles-Brook on the 78th minute. 3-3 and Church went close again, twice hitting the bar via a Jordan Coduri free kick and a Jack Cawthorn header in the last minute of injury time.
A really entertaining game with great endeavour shown by the whole side throughout.
