PCFC 1-2 Knaresborough Town - Reaction
Updated: 25 minutes ago
Church got off to a great start in this evenings NCEL Premier Division fixture at the Simply Log Cabins Memorial Ground.
The lads attacked with intent from the off and were moving the ball well, Matty Lee was slipped in, and he took a couple of quick touches before despatching an excellent finish to give us a deserved 1-0 lead, and his first goal since re-signing for the club.
Knaresborough grew into the game and grabbed an equaliser just before the interval, and then came out and really frustrated Church in the second half, before knicking a second from a set piece in the later stages of the second period, that eventually proved to be the winner and the difference between the two sides on the night.
Knaresborough were a capable & very well organised side in that second half, and actually climbed to 3rd in the league table on the back of their first ever win in Penistone.
Dave Hampshire got the views of Jammy after the game -
Next up the team head up the road to Horbury Town on Saturday afternoon.
