Last Minute heartbreak for the Reserves as a very good performance against a good Stocksbridge PS side ends in a last minute defeat in the last game of the County Senior League Premier Division Season.

Church went 1-0 down early on, but were soon level after a Jack Roberts corner was converted by Church defender Sam Hackett (pictured)

The game was fairly even from that point but arguably dominated by Church in terms of chances created.

The chances not taken ultimately proving costly as in the dying embers of the game, Stocksbridge put together a good attacking move that was well converted to steal the three points.

Church have one eye on The League Cup final to be played at Doncaster Rovers stadium next weekend ( Friday 8th May). We wish the lads all the best as they gear up for that one, and thank them as a club for their tremendous efforts in representing our club at this level throughout the season.

The team has transitioned and developed as the season has progressed fusing young lads with the more experienced ones, and most weeks the blend has just about been great and really bodes well for next season and beyond.

Hopefully they can cap off a great season in the Cup Final.... and make it a memorable one.
