Thankyou JONNO - Again!!

As we head into the final game of the season, at home v Sheffield Club, we take a moment to say thankyou to Jonno before he finally gets to retire. We have to give a massive final thankyou to Jonno for stepping back in over the last few months and helping the first team turn a corner since making his comeback on 20th December v Horbury Town. He only retired from the team last summer, and went off to enjoy some family time and playing for our O35s.

But club stalwarts are difficult to replace and his leadership and organisation was missed through the first half of the season. It is appreciated by everybody at the club that Jonno agreed to come out of his self imposed retirement to help Brett, Jubby and the lads and it's testament to his efforts that the team only lost 4 times in 14 fixtures, to league champions Liversedge, play off hunting pair Barton Town & Campion, and Golcar.

No doubt we’ll still see him about the place - and hopefully he re-signs for the O35s again next season.... Thanks again Jonno another club legend of our NCEL era.
