What a game! The lads went toe‑to‑toe with Staincross Rangers, a team two leagues above us, in a cup thriller packed with goals, determination and proper end‑to‑end football.

Leo opened the scoring before Jude added another while playing in goal.

Momentum shifted after the break, with the lads growing in confidence and arguably becoming the stronger side. Reuben struck twice, Eli fired in a banger from the back, and the game became a brilliant back‑and‑forth battle. A late Rangers equaliser took it into extra time, where both sides continued to trade blows. Leo grabbed his second to level things again, and the tie stayed fiercely contested right to the final whistle.

The lads showed real togetherness, worked incredibly hard and played some fantastic football, smart passing and thoughtful build‑up play. Against higher‑league opposition, we absolutely held our own and pushed them all the way.

Our No. 7 wore the armband and put in a strong shift, showing the footwork and confidence we’ve seen in training to take on defenders and drive play forward.

And a standout performance from our No. 2, who worked tirelessly, delivered dangerous crosses and capped it off with two cracking goals — a well‑deserved Man of the Match.
