Dodworth MW 1 - 1 PCFC Reserves - Reaction

It was a s econd league game of the season on Saturday afternoon for Penistone Church reserves away at Dodworth MW who started their season really well last weekend.

Tom Wright gave us the following assessment of the game -

It is still the beginning of the season with lots of players still away and unavailable which gave us an opportunity to give many of the young & upcoming stars of the club a chance in the side.

The lads took their chance …. We took the lead with a great finish from 16 year-old Lucas Malcolm who showed everybody what he can do!

It was great to see Oliver Casson and Taylor Fairbank perform great with a slightly older guy Chris Snaith in goal.

It was disappointing to concede an equaliser in the last minute however after a tough few weeks seeing the togetherness of the lads in this game shows that we’ve got something to build upon
