A thrilling afternoons football and a great 2nd half fightback by Church in a pulsating Yorkshire derby game played in a fantastic atmosphere generated by the 319 in attendance.


The game came to life in the 23rd minute when Nathan Keightley was red carded for a high challenge. Parkgate took the lead from the resulting free kick, a smart finish by Bradley Morton, and led 1-0 at half time.


Church came out in the second half and really took the game to Parkgate, and equalised in the 52nd minute. A deep cross by Leon was headed in at the back post by Lennon O'Grady. The second was also assisted by Leon, who had a run down the right flank, eventually finding Jordan Coduri with a low cut back, that was despatched first time for a sweet finish on 68 minutes. The third came from good work down the left flank and a cross come shot was turned in at the back post by Lennon, for his second of the game on 81 minutes


Parkgate hit back with a late goal via Church old buy Owen Kelly on 85 minutes, but shortly after, the ref signalled the end of the match.
