Horbury Town 1-0 PCFC - Reaction

A short trip up the road to the outskirts of Wakefield, for Church this Saturday, to what is a really nice set up at Horbury Town in a stunning setting.

Church playing in their all sky blue away strip sponsored by Nick Firth Tiles contested a very even game in which only a handful of real chances were created by both sides , leaving both keepers with very little to do throughout the ninety minutes.

In a game where Church dominated possession, the home side conjured up one moment of quality and scored midway through the first half to take all 3 points.

The second very close encounter in the last few days for Church , that frustratingly for everybody has seen the team come out pointless. Performance wise there was nothing in either of those games, other than that odd decisive moment in either box.

Church particularly in the last 20 minutes really seized the momentum and probably had their best spell of the game as the home side dug in to hold onto their lead. A couple of very good chances were just missed, with first a Harry Viggars header that looked a nailed on goal going just wide of the post followed by substitute Reece High nearly wriggling through the home defence but just failing to connect cleanly and smothered by the keeper after the hard work was done.

The team will brush themselves down and prepare for next Saturday's home game v Tadcaster Albion.

We will post after match reaction from the management team below -
