After a pre-season focused on recruiting new players the U14 whites took the opportunity of an early free Saturday in the league season to take on a friendly against our good friends at Thorncliffe Villa.
A very competitive game of football with Thorncliffe coming out on top; scoring a couple of late goals as Church chased the game. The scoreline didn’t really reflect how even the game was and the coaching team were full of praise for the Church girls which includes 5 players who hadn’t played a game of football until a week ago!
