⚽🖤🤍 MATCH DAY – BACK IN ACTION THIS SUNDAY! 🤍🖤⚽ After last Sunday’s home fixture against Rossington Main Ladies Reserves fell victim to a waterlogged pitch, our Women will be hoping to get back to action this weekend as we welcome SJR Worksop Community. Our visitors have made an excellent start to the season, winning all their league games so far and conceding just one goal. It’s a good record, but we’ve got plenty of belief in our young squad, and we’re looking forward t

⚽🖤🤍 FULL TIME | Rossington Main Ladies Reserves 0–0 Penistone Church Women Short on numbers, but certainly not short on quality as Church battled their way to a hard-earned point on the road. With just 12 players available, squad depth was always going to be a challenge, but there was absolutely no shortage of quality, determination or commitment from those who pulled on the black and white shirt. There was a well-deserved first start for Macy Jones, stepping up from our Un

⚽ FULL TIME | Penistone Church Women 0–3 Sheffield Wednesday Ladies Reserves A defeat today, but plenty to be proud of from a very young Penistone side against a strong Sheffield Wednesday team who deserved the three points. Wednesday took the lead in unfortunate circumstances, a free kick taking a freak bounce which deceived our goalkeeper. Their second also came with a slice of bad luck — the initial ball was clearly offside before our defender, trying to make the clearance

⚽ FULL TIME Parkgate Women 7–0 Penistone Church Women We advertise our wins, so today we’ll own our losses too (but please feel free to neither like nor share this post 🤣🤣🙈) A tough afternoon and a result that hurts, but this is a young team still learning and developing together. For large parts of the game we were brave, battling and committed, but a 20-minute spell in which we conceded four goals ultimately took the game away from us. Massive credit to Parkgate Women. A

Penistone Church 0 – 5 Millmoor Juniors Church faced the division runaway leaders Millmoor Juniors at the Memorial Ground this weekend where the girls had to stand tall for themselves and each other.. With illness rife throughout the squad, the team faced difficult circumstances, but they showed real character, resilience and togetherness. There were plenty of positives, particularly in the second half, when we got the ball down, played our own football and established greate

⚽ FULL TIME 🔵Dearne & District Ladies 0–3 Penistone Church Women⚫️ Another three points on the road for Church! 🙌 We created plenty of chances in the first half before Ava Rhodes-Smith finally broke the deadlock, smashing a driven finish into the roof of the net. Dearne always carried a threat though, and we went into the break just 1–0 ahead. We couldn’t have started the second half any better. Some excellent work down the left from Alice Norman created the opportunity for

After a pre-season focused on recruiting new players the U14 whites took the opportunity of an early free Saturday in the league season to take on a friendly against our good friends at Thorncliffe Villa. A very competitive game of football with Thorncliffe coming out on top; scoring a couple of late goals as Church chased the game. The scoreline didn’t really reflect how even the game was and the coaching team were full of praise for the Church girls which includes 5 players

Penistone U16 Whites made it 2 wins from 2 in a week against Barnsley Reds with a 4:1 victory at home. The game started in a similar vein to the previous week with Penistone taking a two goal lead within the first 10 minutes. Jessica Hitchins scored the opener after pouncing on a loose ball in the Barnsley box following a corner, after which Izzy Lomas scored a superb 1st time scissor finish to double Penistone's lead. The remainder of the half saw a pattern of Penistone chan

🖤🤍 MATCH DAY | U14s Whites 🤍🖤 Penistone Church U14s Whites 1–2 AFC Bentley U14s A competitive game of football with plenty of action at both ends. After a difficult first half, Penistone Church came out strongly after half time, putting AFC Bentley under sustained pressure and taking the second-half honours. ⚽ Goal: Bella 🏆 Player of the Game: Flo A special milestone too, with Amelia, Dottie and Lottie making their debuts for the team. A positive second half and plenty
