Match Day - Under 14 Whites

Church travelled to runaway leagues leaders Millmoor juniors and were under pressure for the majority of the game against a quality outfit who have been playing together for several years.

It was a great learning curve for this developing squad which includes 5 girls who only started playing the game this summer.

Church will have learnt plenty from the last 10minutes where they put the opposition under constant pressure and will look to take that energy and determination into the next game from the first whistle.

A special shout out to keeper Olivia B who gained positive comments from the opposition coaches for her skill and awareness. Stand out performances from Penny and Sophia too who filled in when injuries occurred.

Goal scorers were Bella & Nell. Nell’s goal has probably already wrapped up goal of the season in the entire Sheffield league structure and for those there to witness it will probably never forget!

Joint players of the game award went to Nell & Greta who showed a desire to get to the ball first and look to play forward at all times.

It was also a special day where the team wore their new kit for the first time and were able to say thank you to sponsors https://sub-core.co.uk
