Muddy Fun at the Caribbean!

Penistone Church Ladies U13 Blacks were finally back in action this weekend away to Caribbean JFC. Both teams doing well in the table and it showed with a close first half where Caribbean managed to sneak into half time one nil up after a first period of few chances and little for either goalkeeper to do.

The second half started in the worst possible fashion for Church after conceding almost immediately after the restart with some sloppy play leading to an easy finish for the Caribbean centre forward. Ten minutes later Church found themselves 3-0 down as their heads dropped but managed to dig deep and get a goal from our Vice Captain Libby Holloway shortly after.

As church pushed forwards looking for goals it wasn’t to be and Caribbean scored a 4th to make it only our third loss in the league this season. Great game of football. Girl of the game went to our Captain and rock at the back Esmae Wilson and our ever dependable Goalkeeper Hariett Barnett #UpTheChurch
