Golcar Utd 2-0 Church
The lads came unstuck this afternoon at Golcar , despite a very promising first half performance. It was a pretty close game, played on a heavy pitch in front of a good crowd. A very even contest which ebbed and flowed with both teams having phases of being on top. It’s fair to say in a game of few chances, Golcar took theirs and Church did not. Our best chances falling to Lennon in the first half, and then Reece & Luca in the second. Golcar strikers Flynn and Doyle made t

Congratulations George Thompson
Massive Congratulations to 17 year old George Thompson who made his Church first team debut this afternoon at Golcar United. George started on the bench coming on as a second half substitute for Jack Cawthorn in the 70th minute. George has played for Penistone Church since the age of 6, playing at all junior age groups through to his current u18 Blacks side. George is currently playing his first season as an u18, and also features regularly for our u21 side and Tom Wright’

The Reserves went down 4-2 this afternoon against our local rivals at Bracken Moor. The scores were level at Half Time 1-1 with Alfie Broughton bagging again for Church. Our second half goal scorer was Will Heath, but Park Steels went on to win the game 4-2. Thankyou to those fans that followed the lads across.

Reserves 4-1 Win in the Cup QF
A massive congratulations to Wrighty, Drewy, Callum and the Reserves squad, following their fantastic 4-1 victory away at Wombwell Main on Saturday. The third time the lads have put 4 past Wombwell in fixtures this season, although as Tom Wright noted in his post match interview, the game was much more competitive than that scoreline maybe suggests, and Chris Snaith made a great penalty save in the first half. Church were off to a flyer with a brilliantly well taken volley b

Barton Town 3-2 Church
An end to end first half on a flat but very bobbly pitch made for an entertaining game this evening at the Easy Buy Stadium in Barton. The hosts got off to a swift start and were 2-0 up after 14 minutes, through a long range strike into the top corner, then a goal converted from a low cross, that seemed to take a few bobbles deceiving our back line. Then Church forced themselves into the game with two quick fire goals of their own, the first in the 22nd minute from a Ryan J

Reserves 4-0 South Elmsall
A massive well done to the Reserves today, as they had a fabulous 4-0 Home win in front of a good crowd. A Hat-trick for Will Heath and another goal for youngster Luke Fretwell sending the crowd and team home happy. Well Done Lads. They also managed to get their boots cleaned afterwards by these entrepeneurs - well done boys & good luck with the venture. you can listen to Manager Tom Wrights assessment here -

Tadcaster 1-1 Church - Held at the Death
The lads should be so proud of their performance this afternoon. Rocked up in the backyard of a team having a great season and pushing for the playoffs , and absolutely took the game to them. The lads were solid throughout , to a man putting in some outstanding performances, and deservedly led 1-0 at the half having also hit the bar from a great Eddie Newsome strike. Church’s goal was put away by Reece High in the 25th minute. Reece had another lively game along with fel

Church 3-3 Knaresborough Town
Another entertaining and high scoring draw for Church. These 3-3's have become a bit of a habit over the last few weeks. Tonight though was tinged with a little disappointment as Church seemed to have nicked the points in the 90th minute following a fabulous dead ball free kick by Jammy from the right wing, which was met and headed downwards by Rob Ludlam at the back post and into the goal at the Club House End. Unfortunaetly it was'nt to be as Knaresborough managed an equal
