It’s massive congratulations to Church Old Boy - John Stones, who today got to live every childhood dream, when he recieved the FA Cup from HRH Prince William at Wembley Stadium and lifted it along with his captain Bernardo Silva in front of the City fans and the world watching on TV. What a fantastic career this local Thurlstone boy has had …. The third FA Cup win of his career in his time at City & 20th trophy in his city career. John will leave City at the end of the seas

WE DID IT - 1007 RECORD ATTENDANCE - WHAT A DAY
THANK YOU! April 4th 2026. We only went and did it..... On our last home game of the NCEL Premier Division 2025/26 season we achieved a record attendance of 1007 at the Parker Roofing Memorial Ground. The fixture played versus local rivals and the oldest football club in the world Sheffield FC. What a day, the ground was bursting at the seams, the stands were full, the club house was packed to the rafters from 1pm to 11pm, the VIP suite was sold out as fans of both clubs g

A Plaque unveiling at The Crystal Palace Inn, Thurlstone, took place on March 18th 2026 at 3.00pm. The Plaque is dedicated to local man, and football pioneer, John Marsh. The founding member of the Wednesday FC in 1867. First Captain and Secretary of the club 1867- 1874. Winning Captain of the Cromwell Cup in 1868.
