THANK YOU!

April 4th 2026. We only went and did it..... On our last home game of the NCEL Premier Division 2025/26 season we achieved a record attendance of 1007 at the Parker Roofing

Memorial Ground. The fixture played versus local rivals and the oldest football club in the world Sheffield FC.

What a day, the ground was bursting at the seams, the stands were full, the club house was packed to the rafters from 1pm to 11pm, the VIP suite was sold out as fans of both clubs gathered along with groundhoppers ,including a visitor from Norway, and lots of other football fans who came along and made a piece of club history with us.

We had local BBC Radio Sheffield host Adam Oxley present, alongside new Sheffield FC Chairman Jon Mclure of Reverand & The Makers, we saw Bob the Bucket and Paul Sampson from the Royal Oak FC somewhere in the crowd too.

Guests were advised to pay what they wanted at the turnstile and we can only say a huge thankyou for the generosity, as people opted to pay over the odds in many cases. Massive thanks to everyone who contributed something to our club, and also for selling out our raffle, & buying the great food on offer from the kitchen.

Thankyou to the Womens u15s who hosted a game pre the big match and to all the junior players who joined us to create a guard of honour and be team mascots for the day, and to the new u7s who entertained us with a half time penalty shoot out competition against Penny the Penguin in goal.

We have to thank all of the amazing club volunteers who pulled out all the stops to look after all of our visitors and also make sure we looked after Sheffield FC. The bar staff and kitchen staff were amazing and the club owes them a massive thanks.

It was amazing to see the young Sheffield FC Ultras who came along and made a lot of nose in the Carling stand getting behind their team and behaving impeccably well.

Then post match thankyou to everybody who stayed on for post match drinks, putting much needed income into our club, the evening was fantastic with the club house full till late, and we had fun with Neil Diamondo and guests singing along including the new management team of Brett, Jubby and Jammy singing along to Elvis.

Just a top day and one to remember.. Thanks again to everybody who contributed, & thankyou Sheffield FC for promoting our 1000 fan fun day in advance of the game....It means the world to us.

120 years old in 2026 and we get our biggest ever crowd to celebrate it .... Cheers Everybody.
