A deflating loss today, going into half time 0-0 and coming out strong in the second half. A soft penalty awarded to Rossington Revs made them pip the lead, and we just couldn’t pull it back despite an overall good team performance. ⭐️ PoM went to winger Alice Norman (sponsored in memory of Sandra Norman). A decent point gained in yesterday’s game with a fairly stripped-back squad & limited substitutions. Penistone were defensively sound throughout - disrupting Socrates’ play and offering them very little when it came to goal scoring opportunities. A fantastic performance from the team today, playing with a bare eleven but showing grit and determination to the very end. Millmoor took the lead in the first half, but Penistone kept battling. With their countless chances and domination, they barely let Millmoor out of their own half in the final 45 minutes.
