Barton Town 3-2 Church
An end to end first half on a flat but very bobbly pitch made for an entertaining game this evening at the Easy Buy Stadium in Barton. The hosts got off to a swift start and were 2-0 up after 14 minutes, through a long range strike into the top corner, then a goal converted from a low cross, that seemed to take a few bobbles deceiving our back line. Then Church forced themselves into the game with two quick fire goals of their own, the first in the 22nd minute from a Ryan J

Tadcaster 1-1 Church - Held at the Death
The lads should be so proud of their performance this afternoon. Rocked up in the backyard of a team having a great season and pushing for the playoffs , and absolutely took the game to them. The lads were solid throughout , to a man putting in some outstanding performances, and deservedly led 1-0 at the half having also hit the bar from a great Eddie Newsome strike. Church’s goal was put away by Reece High in the 25th minute. Reece had another lively game along with fel

Church 3-3 Knaresborough Town
Another entertaining and high scoring draw for Church. These 3-3's have become a bit of a habit over the last few weeks. Tonight though was tinged with a little disappointment as Church seemed to have nicked the points in the 90th minute following a fabulous dead ball free kick by Jammy from the right wing, which was met and headed downwards by Rob Ludlam at the back post and into the goal at the Club House End. Unfortunaetly it was'nt to be as Knaresborough managed an equal

Great Win v Parkgate
21/2/26 NCEL Premier Division A thrilling afternoons football and a great 2nd half fightback by Church in a pulsating Yorkshire derby game played in a fantastic atmosphere generated by the 319 in attendance. The game came to life in the 23rd minute when Nathan Keightley was red carded for a high challenge. Parkgate took the lead from the resulting free kick, a smart finish by Bradley Morton, and led 1-0 at half time. Church came out in the second half and really took the ga

Liversedge 4 - 1 PCFC - NCELP 14/2/26
The lads were beaten yesterday by a quick & strong Liversedge side. The home side looked well and truly like a top of the league outfit this afternoon, as 3 quick goals in the first half put paid to our efforts today. The lads would probably agree that they didn't get tight enough to the Liversedge attack in the opening half an hour or so , and were made to pay the penalty. There was no shortage of endeavour from our lads, as they ran up a little short v a very strong side

Matty Lee signs for Church
After impressing in a friendly against our first team last week, playing for IDA, Matty Lee has agreed to sign for Church initially to the end of the season. He signs on a dual registration with Stocksbridge Park Steels, and we thank them for their support enabling us to put this in place. Matty made his debut for the first team, coming off the bench in the 3-3 draw at Albion Sports yesterday, where he made an immediate impact and impressed as a pacy & direct attacking playe

Albion Sports 3 - 3 PCFC NCELP Sat 7/2/26
Our first visit to The Myra Shay in Bradford to play Albion Sports in their new home. For the second consecutive game the lads had to contend with an AstroTurf pitch. They put in an excellent first 45 minutes, but amazingly found themselves 0-2 at the half following two cool finishes by the ever alive Nathan Cartman. Church had seen a goal chalked off for offside and Albion's keeper had made a couple of very good saves. Early in the second half a slick Reece High back heel

Liam Clayton Returns to SWFC
Liam Clayton has completed his loan period with Penistone Church and now returned to Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. Liam made a great impression featuring in all 3 of our January fixtures, making a scoring debut from the bench v Wombwell Town at the Parker Roofing Memorial ground under the lights on January 14th, where he grabbed us an 88th minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw, followed by starts at home to Thackley (1-0 win) and away at Bottesford Town (3-3 draw) in our last

An Entertaining Draw at Bottesford Town
Church continued their unbeaten start to 2026 in an entertaining game at Bottesford Town. Church took a 1-0 lead into the break following a good burst and finish by Lennon O'Grady, topping off some great patterns of play in the first period. Reece High doubled the lead on the 54th minute with a typical piece of skill, breaking through the Bottesford defensive ranks to finish tidily. Bottesford made some changes from the bench and a quick burst of attacking play led to a pe

Church 1 - 0 Thackley - Post Match Pack
A good win for Church yesterday v a combative Thackley side. Church upped the ante in the second half and a lovely finish by half time substitute Jordan Coduri proved the difference between the 2 sides. Man of the match picked by the match sponsors was Carlton Pownell , who had a good game at right back, looking to push forward at every attempt and supplying the assist for our goal. He was presented the award by Brian Lovell. Please click on the link to hear manager Bret
